It pains me how much mental health is overlooked.
I feel many people just think, “Oh I have never felt that, therefore it can’t be a real thing.” The people who suffer from mental health issues just get generalized as “temporarily not like us but will be once they get over it.” I just don’t want to be taken as a joke or as temporarily out of service. It is a real struggle and problem.

I’m growing more and more annoyed at the fight for marriage equality because it seems very blind to me. There’s another post floating around here with a person holding a sign that says something about how we should fight against queer kids being in the streets instead of fighting for marriage, which is also important, but not AS important, let’s say, than the safety of queer people.
Plus, marriage equality is a no-brainer: you are an adult human being who wants to marry a consenting human being? Go ahead. End of the fucking story. I have no more patience for bigots.
