Blackbird is my favourite Beatles song because it’s one my dad sings, or used to anyway. He can sort of play it on the guitar. And it simultaneously brings me joy and breaks my heart when he tries. I don’t know, my relationship with my dad is so unspoken and uncommunicative that I cling to the small things like this.
